About Me

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from Penncrest High School, I went to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and studied Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering. Shortly after graduation, I attended Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI, to commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy. I briefly served at the Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Philadelphia Headquarters while waiting to go down to Charleston, SC, where I attended Nuclear Power School. I then completed training at the Submarine Officer Basic Course in Groton, CT, and reported to Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa, NY. There I qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch on the S8G prototype reactor. After completion of the training pipeline, I reported to my first operational command about the USS MISSISSIPPI – SSN 782, homeported out of Naval Submarine Base New London. We executed a change of homeport to Pearl Harbor, HI, and I continue to serve as a submarine warfare officer aboard the MISSISSIPPI.
